PS5 version
The official PlayStation Blog confirms the October 29 PS5 launch, and both editions are pre-orderable on the PlayStation Store. A community report spotted PS5 Pro enhancement flags on the store listing — unverified, so treat it as a rumor until Sony or S-GAME says so.
DualSense & Tempest 3D Audio on PS5
PlayStation's official feature description for the game (via the PS5 Features Trailer campaign) confirms three hardware integrations:
- Adaptive triggers — feel the true weight of your Phantom Edges through the DualSense wireless controller's adaptive triggers, from the taut pull of a drawn bowstring to the heavy resistance of a cannon charging to fire.
- Haptic feedback — brace for heart-pounding combat as the DualSense controller's haptic feedback delivers the visceral impact of every deadly blade clash and earth-shattering hammer strike.
- Tempest 3D AudioTech — anticipate threats in a dark world as 3D spatial audio lets you pinpoint incoming flying swords and distinguish the unique resonance of every clashing weapon. (1: 3D audio via built-in TV speakers or analogue/USB stereo headphones; setup required.)
These are controller/audio features, not performance modes: they say nothing about PS5 Pro enhancement or resolution targets, which remain unverified.
- PS5 Pro Enhanced mode — store-listing flag reported by the community, still unverified
- 4K / ray tracing PC specification tier, if any
- Download sizes per platform
Platform questions
What platforms is Phantom Blade Zero on?
PlayStation 5 and PC (Windows). PC stores confirmed so far are Steam, Epic Games Store and WeGame. A cloud version is also planned for the October 29 launch.
Is the Phantom Blade PS5 only?
No. PS5 is the only console at launch, but the game also ships on Windows PC the same day — October 29, 2026 — via Steam, Epic Games Store and WeGame, plus a cloud version. No Xbox version exists.
Is Phantom Blade Zero on Xbox, Mac or Linux?
No. The Steam listing covers Windows only, and no Xbox, Mac or Linux version has been announced. Our Microsoft Store tracker follows any change.
Can my PC run Phantom Blade Zero?
The minimum spec asks for a Core i7-8700K or Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM and a GTX 1660 6GB / RX 5500 XT 8GB, with an SSD required — targeting 1080p/30 with upscaling. Recommended is an RTX 3060 Ti / RX 6700 XT class card for 1440p/60 with upscaling.
Does Phantom Blade Zero use DualSense features?
Yes. PlayStation's official feature description confirms adaptive triggers (weapon weight, bowstring and cannon resistance), haptic feedback for blade clashes and hammer strikes, and Tempest 3D AudioTech for pinpointing flying swords — 3D audio needs TV speakers or analogue/USB stereo headphones with setup.
Is there a PS5 Pro Enhanced mode?
A PS Store listing change suggesting PS5 Pro enhancement was reported by community users, but it is not confirmed by official material yet. We treat it as unverified.
Is it Steam Deck verified?
That has not been verified. The minimum requirements demand an SSD and list no handheld-specific support, so we make no claim either way until official information appears.
